Art Philosophy by Prima Watercolor Confections - Pastel Dreams

So another set that I bought from Prima Watercolors is the Pastel Dreams set. I will be honest and say I bought these because I thought the colors were cute and didn't really think much if I will be using the pigments that much. Did I buy it on impulse? Yes. *Guiltily shies away in a corner*

Like the the Tropicals set, it came in this small black tin case - which is compact and ideal for travelling. I have attached magnets on the bottom of my plastic pans which makes them easier to secure and move around inside the metal case.

Inside are these yummy pastel colors in half pans. They looked a bit chalky after unpacking and it looks like the pigments were cut instead of poured into the pans. They were easy to wet though and were quite creamy. I'll probably use them in bullet journals or on some cute hobby cards.

It also came with the small swatch card - which I also love because it fits perfectly in the tin and is an easy reference guide to use. The colors included in the set are Brown, Chocolate, Crimson, Rose, Lemonade, Citrus, Bumblebee, Sea Dream, Paradise, Pool Party, Icy Sky and Lilac Rain. They really have cute naming sense but once again not much information about the pigments.

I liked that the colors were vibrant and creamy but I do wonder how they would be when I mix them together. I will post about that later. All in all it is a beautiful eye-candy palette but I would have exchanged brown with lime green or something but I guess they were thinking of using brown for mixing purposes if this was the only palette you had.
